  • Childbirth Classes

“Birth is not something that happens to me, but something that I can actively participate in”. This is the mantra of our childbirth class. We focus on birth from a holistic perspective: mind, body, and spirit. We learn not only to trust our bodies, but also our creator who has already written our birth stories. In our class we do not focus on one “right way” to give birth but rather discuss your rights, options, and possible interventions to empower you to make decisions. You are strong! We believe you’ll leave this class feeling strong.

  • Breastfeeding Classes

“How do I know I am making enough milk?” “Is my baby getting enough?” “I’m afraid my supply has dipped.” “My baby wants to eat all the time, is that normal?” These are common questions and anxieties that plague new breastfeeding mothers. A mother and baby’s breastfeeding relationship is a beautiful and intimate bond. It is as unique as the milk that her body makes for her baby. These relationships however don’t always start smoothly. Breastfeeding is a learned skill for both mom and baby and there is often a steep learning curve. We are passionate about preparing expecting moms for this journey by educating them about how this relationship works physiologically and on pitfalls to avoid. We want to give you more tools to help you and your baby start as smoothly as possible.

  • Bringing Home Baby (Birmingham Only)

Join Lacey and her husband Giles in this hands-on interactive course as we discuss basic newborn care along with some common but less talked about issues. It’s important to remember that a baby is not the only new creation in your house. Moms and dads are adjusting to brand new roles and a new relationship dynamic with one another. We will discuss communication tips and potential pitfalls to avoid with the purpose of fortifying your relationship. Our goal is to help you enter the newborn phase of parenting confidently and leave it stronger. This class is not to be missed!

“Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.”
